Il lockdown è in dirittura d’arrivo e ci sembrava doveroso fare il punto su alcune situazioni “minori” che abbiamo visto e percepito durante questi mesi di quarantena.
Come avrete notato sui vari quotidiani locali, Facebook, Instagram e altri canali social, alcuni “artisti” in giro per il paese, hanno organizzato aste, collette ed eventi virtuali per raccogliere fondi a favore di ospedali ed enti preposti nell’ambito dell’emergenza Covid19.
E Biella? Perché a noi preme parlare della nostra cittadina come abbiamo sempre fatto.
In città ci sono state alcune iniziative più o meno riuscite che hanno raccolto cifre a favore delle varie associazioni (tatuatori, musicisti ecc). Non staremo qui ad elencarle tutte perché non avrebbe senso ai fini di questo articolo.
Veniamo invece a un settore che in altre città ha saputo valorizzare e raccogliere fondi, in alcuni casi, anche cospicui, mentre qui è stato snobbato oltre ogni immaginazione, l’arte.
Facciamo un passo indietro, a Biella ci sono 3 gallerie d’arte che la fanno da padrone (Zaion Gallery, Bi-Box Art Space e Silvy Bassanese Arte contemporanea) e ci saremmo aspettati, da parte loro, una qualche iniziativa a favore di questa causa, come stato fatto in altre città.
Perché perdiamo tempo a parlare di questo? Semplice perché in questi due mesi siamo stati invasi di messaggi e email provenienti da artisti locali che chiedevano a gran voce di sponsorizzare le loro aste benefiche e le loro opere sulla nostra pagina.
Ma ma ma .. un attimo, non spetta mica a LBCP farlo, ci sono gallerie e fondazioni in città molto più qualificate e blasonate (e capiamo anche che alcuni artisti non si siano esposti privatamente per lo stesso motivo, se non frega nulla alle gallerie figuriamoci alla gente).
Siamo una piccola realtà è vero, ma pur sempre patria di una delle fondazioni più rinomate a livello internazionale (Pistoletto & C.)
Si parla tanto di Made in Biella, soprattutto ultimamente e quello che vediamo sono sempre i soliti 4 gatti sponsorizzati a più non posso, ma gli artisti sono molti di più e meriterebbero anche loro quella considerazione destinata anche a chi non ha amici Vip.
Torniamo alle gallerie nostrane, 3 e di queste 3 durante il lockdown nessuna ha fatto nulla per “sponsorizzare” le varie raccolte e così abbiamo visto opere messe all’asta dagli artisti stessi (imbarazzante) passare inosservate, quando di questi tempi anche 50€ sarebbero stati utili alla causa. (Basta visitare i canali social delle 3 gallerie per verificare come non abbiano fatto nulla e se l’hanno fatto, la cosa non è comunque venuta fuori)
Biella al solito, che da un lato si professa benefica, dall’altro dimostra di esserlo sempre e solo con i soliti volti noti, all’italiana.
Potrà sembrare un discorso bizzarro e inutile questo, ma noi siamo una pagina inutile, quasi al pari delle gallerie d’arte locali, che si atteggiano a parole ma in concreto non fanno nulla di più del compitino per stare a galla.
Ennesima occasione mancata che avrebbe potuto dimostrare che l’arte può essere molto di più e invece resta molto di meno, fatta eccezione per gli amichetti che, anche se privi di talento, troveranno sempre il loro spazio.
